A reader recently pointed out that a comic appeared on Screenrant’s list of ‘hilarious Star Wars fan-art.’ It was exciting and frustrating at the same time, because while it ranked at #1, they used a cropped version without my website or comic’s name.

I used to listen to a podcast from Screenrant while in school, and it’s a bummer to feel like they ‘harvested’ a comic. I emailed them once I saw, but to no avail. I realize they probably started with a cropped version they found, but doing a reverse image search would lead them to my site if they tried.

The last several times I’ve had a comic ‘go viral’ with 100,000+ likes/shares, it’s after it’s been stripped of my site/comic name. It’s discouraging, because I don’t feel I can grow my readership. I recently began incorporating my URL inside my comic to help combat cropping. Thanks for stopping by the site and reading, the messages I receive through here and Patreon help keep me drawing.
