On Patreon I posted some of the background inspiration for this comic Patreon Preview. I made it a public post so it’s open to everyone. Each week I give background detail on the comics I post and draw an extra comic for Patreons each month.
Several months ago while eating a burger at a restaurant, I began unspooling an uncomfortably long hair from my bite of burger. My initial thought was to quickly pull it out of my mouth, and salvage my burger after momentarily wiping my memory, as many hungry people do. To my dismay the hair kept revealing more and more of itself, like a magician's handkerchief, until I spit it into a napkin. Now this sounds like a long ordeal, but let me assure you, it all took place in a matter of seconds. While I did go on to to cautiously finish my meal, I don't envision visiting that restaurant anytime soon.
While waiting for a meeting in the city I saw this exact sign, this was my rebellious mind's reaction.
