I think a combination of aging and seeing the story of that chimp who ripped off a face may have led to this comic. I was contemplating comic ideas and was curious if it's possible forgo the full face job and just go with a scalp transplant. Taking perpetual medication and hoping your body doesn't reject your new hairdo are the obvious downsides, but it might still be preferable to those spray paint hair options.

I thought of this comic today while going for my first jog/run of the sunny weather. I walk my pup everyday and hit my step count, but as it's been getting warmer, he burns out pretty quick and prefers being dragged or carried. I was feeling pretty good after work and have some decent running shoes and went for it. I was probably 2 songs in before I thought of this comic.
I wanted the man to appear pretty defeated and laying on the floor because he didn't have the motivation to sit at the table. I imagined him desperately crawling over to his desk and reaching up while a limp, sweaty hand searched for a writing utensil, eventually knocking over the pen cup.
