At Random began in a high school paper in 2002, has been online since 2007, and can now be found in OSU's student paper, The Daily Barometer.

Process

      A comic goes through quite a few steps before making it on the site. I start off by sketching my ideas in a small memo pad. I redraw the comic larger and block in the characters and background. I then redraw the comic once more using my new guide. Next I replace my text and add the border.

  I use a Wacom tablet and Photoshop to digitally paint some comics. I start with a sold base layer of a color then use various wet brushes of varying opacity to create texture and shading.
